Although we acousticians can’t always prevent hearing #loss, exposure to Loud Noises can cause very serious #damage to your hearing, which is rampant today in our #country, especially in Our State, #Telangana and our capital city Hyderabad. 

Noise levels are measured in decibels (dB) and any sound over 85dB can be #harmful, especially if we’re exposed to it for a long time. From there, every increase of 3dB means that the sound intensity is doubled. An increase of 10dB, however, will sound twice as loud and three times as intense to the #human ear, it may lead to #impairment.

Environmental noise regulations usually specify a maximum #outdoor #noise #level of 60 to 65 dB(A)

but the present outdoor noise levels of Hyderabad is 99.3 db(A).
